Teenagers in the State of Massachusetts who want to get their Junior Operators License (ages 16 1/2 - 18 yrs.) need to fulfill the following requirements:
1. 30 hours classroom
2. 12 hours behind-the-wheel with an instructor
3. 6 hours observing other students drive
4. 2 hour parent class (attended by the parent, not student)
You must be 15 yrs. 9 months old to enroll in the 30 hour class. You are not required to have a permit before you enroll in Drivers Ed. Permit fees are not covered by schools.
